Our friendly meeting theme of Thursday afternoon December 8, 2016, the 3rd since the resumption of the season 2016/2017,
was on “the poems of our childhood”, a theme proposed by Jacqueline and accepted by all present at the November meeting.
Jacqueline M. read a poem by Théophile Gautier “First smile of spring”
Jacqueline D. a poem also of theophile Gautier “the laurel of Generalife”,
Sylvie a poem of Robert Desnos “the Owls and the Ant”, to retain the spelling of the words ending with “or”,
Huguette chose us very short texts of different authors of which here are two which, we hope as we,
will make you laugh. Maybe you know them?
It was a very pleasant moment together, all of poetry, culture and relaxation.
Next meeting: Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with the cake to wish each other wishes.
The theme will be the surprise but, as always, a joy shared together.

Want to sit on the ceiling

“the tiger and the priest” by Jean-Luc Moreau.
In the Jungle, one day ventures a priest,
The tiger occurs,
“Pray,” said the abbe to himself,
“Lord, I conjure you,
Let this tiger be a Christian,
How the high man is doing,
The chronicle does not speak about it,
In any case, the wild animal kneels:
“Lord,” he said, “bless this meal.”
