Saturday, December 10, at 8:30 pm, the Rink-Hockey section of the JAD will write a new very beautiful page of its history. Indeed the pennant team will enter the track to play an 8th Final Cup of France … A real performance!
At this stage of the competition, Drancy really looks like little boy, and receives to crown all the team of SA Mérignac, who is none other than the vice-champion of France 1st Division.
To let you know of this match, we collected the impressions of D.Pouget, player of the team, captain in the absence of A. Guilbert. It is all symbolic that many players of our team pennant, just like D. Pouget made their classes within the club and never left. Interview:
How do you feel before this game?
I am very excited about playing against a 1st Division team and more, during a Cup match, in which we arrive for the first time at this stage of the competition.
Is there a particular pressure?
We have no pressure to have. The whole thing will be to show what we know how to produce as a game and to have fun in the field. The result remains in the background even if, of course, we all go on the field to win. After this match can only serve us in terms of experience.
What do you hope for your team during the match?
As captain replacing because of the injury of A. Guilbert, I will motivate the troops to let everyone go crazy and have fun !! Anyway if there are things to try it will be the opportunity, it is the ideal match, we are not in the race points as in the league. As I said a little earlier, I hope the team will have fun. We have the means to surprise them because they do not know us either and they will still have a long journey in the legs.
How would you sell this game?
In my memories, since all these years when I practice Rink, I have never seen any Drancy team play against an N1 !! Although this sport remains very little known to the general public; it’s a wonderful sport in which you owe the individual work but also a lot of work for your partners to form a real team. I invite all the people to come to see this match and of course to join us !!
And … If Drancy wins what would you do?
Very good question, I think the madness will be automatic. Definitely a big party with all the friends to celebrate the next events … And the qualification !!
